Richard G. Martinez, a veteran graphic artist and respected member of the fine art community since 1991. Came to Blazing Aces Design Studio to overhaul it’s 6 year old website.
This project is a mix of “dynamic” database driven graphics, like the random homepage image & web standard compliant CSS design. The site also sports a password protected client login so ArtThug is able to post client project files and invoices securely.
Reusable portions of the site such a navigation and CSS code was attached using PHP server-side includes, to ease management and speed up any future updates. Every page in this site was carefully constructed with great care. We encoded every email on the site so spam bots will not be able scan and record his emails. We used a tableless, CSS, web standard compliant design; along with making this site completely Search Engine Optimized and Web Assessible.

Blazing Aces Design Studio recommended to Artthug that they have a news section to let friends & colleagues know what is new and to let potential clients see that Artthug is a very active graphics arts studio.
Each entry in the news section is contained dynamically in a mysql database. News section is accessed from the homepage. We programmed the homepage to show the first two newest news entries.
We then built a custom backend to modify & add any news entry. This allows for more control over

The main purpose of artthug.com is to show case some of Richard G. Martinez’s past work. He wanted to be sure is site was simple to use he didn’t want any complex flash interfaces that users would need to figure out prior to viewing his work. This could ultimately cause him to loose potential clients.
We can up with a very simple, easy to understand interface to display his work. We pull the images into the flash file, making the file very small and easy for users to download.
